Contents page house styles

Contents pages from NME magazine

A house style is a company's preferred manner of presentation and layout of written material.

One of NME's house style on the contents page is the use of the title logo and the same font of 'this week' which are both place next to each other.

Another house style is the layout where there is the 'band index' on the left an image of a story in the middle and the stories on the right under different categories that are used throughout all three images.

The black box with the yellow font used to inform about subscription is another house style as the layout is the same throughout with images of previous issues and the colour choice to make it stand out.

Lastly another house style is the type of font that is used to write the stories as it is the same on each contents page. Also the story linked to the image is bigger on every image as its one of the magazines main stories so is bigger to make sure the audience see and read it.
